Medway City Estate Connections: Progress So Far

There’s been a steady build behind the scenes at Medway City Estate, as Medway City Estate Connections begins to take shape. 

Created by Storm Hollie, the initiative is focused on bringing businesses across the estate closer together, helping them better understand who their neighbours are, what they do, and where opportunities to work together exist. 

Over the past few months, the foundations have been put in place.

A dedicated website has been built to act as a central point for the estate, alongside the creation of a growing business directory which already includes over 300 companies. It’s an early step towards making the estate easier to navigate, both for businesses and for those looking to find services locally.

Alongside this, time has been spent out on the estate, meeting businesses in person, introducing the idea, and starting conversations. These early interactions have been key, not just in building awareness, but in understanding the landscape properly.

Because while real progress has been made, it’s clear that this is only the beginning.

One of the most exciting moments so far has been capturing drone footage of the estate. Seeing it from above offered a completely different perspective — revealing just how vast and diverse the area really is. It’s something that’s difficult to appreciate from ground level, but impossible to ignore from the air.

Discussions are also underway with KM Media Group to promote Medway City Estate Connections through Kent Online, helping to extend awareness beyond the estate itself and into the wider community. 

There has also been early support from within the estate. 9TFIVE Interiors Ltd, a specialist in ceilings, wall partitions and commercial fit-out, has come on board as the first sponsor — an encouraging sign of the belief in what this can become. 

For now, the message is simple.

A strong start has been made, but there is still a long way to go. With hundreds more businesses to connect with, relationships to build, and opportunities to uncover, Medway City Estate Connections is only just getting started.

And that’s where the real opportunity lies.
